Shocking numbers are coming in from the United States regarding Coronavirus infections. The country had close to 70,000 cases now after Italy (74,386) and China (81,782). The US is likely to go to the Second Spot by tomorrow. New York City is the Epicenter of these infections with around 50% cases.
The city is doing more tests, now up to 18,650 tests per day. Around 25% of all tests in the country have been done in New York. Interestingly, EMS in New York took 6,406 medical 911 calls. This is the highest ever call volume for the city even more than 9/11/01 (WTC Towers Terrorist Attack Day).
There are reports that people of the city are fleeing to the other parts of the country fearing shortage in medical facilities in the coming days. But that is even dangerous as the infections would spread to the other parts of the country as well.
The administration for some reason is buying time in announcing a Lockdown which will prove costly if delayed further.
