Telangana 21 New Districts Inaugurated, KCR Inaugurated Telangana 21 New Districts, KCR Inaugurated Siddipet District, KTR Inaugurated Sircilla DistrictA new chapter got added to the history books of Telangana as 21 new districts have got added to the existing 10 districts making the total count 31. With a bid to make the administration more accessible to the people, Telangana government has undertaken the districts reorganization and with that, 21 new districts, 24 new revenue divisions, and 125 new mandals came into effect.

All the districts began operations at 11.12AM muhurath set on the auspicious Vijaya Dasami day. While the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao inaugurated the Siddipet district, the other ministers have started the administration in the new districts. The Chief Minister announced that each district will have 2-4 Lakh families now which will ensure the official concentrate on all the people.

Smaller districts will mean that the development and welfare schemes will reach to all the people. The new districts began in temporary accommodations while the government targets to have permanent buildings ready by the next one year. The state government will earmark 2000 Crore in the upcoming budget for this.

The districts reorganization has happened some 38 years ago in Telangana. Bhadradri district is the biggest district in terms of the area while Hyderabad is the smallest. In terms of population, Hyderabad is the biggest while Rajanna district is the smallest. Four new districts were carved out of the Warangal district while Hyderabad district is totally untouched.
