Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Proposed 3000 Kilometers Padayatra had seen a change of dates twice already and now reports are emerging that Jagan‘s team is mulling the cancellation of the Padayatra totally and take up district tours in that place.
While the problem attending CBI court every Friday poses a major challenge, the other problem is mobilizing funds. Jagan cannot spend money from his own account since CBI and ED are sitting on those with numerous attachments.
The party think-tank is busy finalizing the roadmap for the Padayatra and is intimating the respective party in charges of those Assembly constituencies to mobilize funds. But then, to their utter dismay, the incharges not only rejected but also asked the high command about the old dues of 2014 elections.
The YSR Congress candidates in 2014 elections spent money totally from their pockets. They were promised funds from the party headquarters which never came. They are asking Jagan to reimburse some amount so that they can rejuvenate the cadre. Most of the leaders are not confident of YSR Congress coming to power in 2019 with recent results and are not in favor of spending more money now.
