It is analysed that major Industries will choose Seemandhra over Telangana, due to that package.
The Special category status provides various schemes among which Tax exemption is one. Due to that, the difference of prices of products will be significantly large, between Telangana and Seemandhra. Considering that fact, most new industries will choose to establish themselves in Seemandhra and also the existing industries might take the Seemandhra road because of the new competition that will arise due to the difference of prices.
Telangana leaders are demanding the central government that Telangana state needs the special category status more than Seemandhra because, of all the regions in Telangana, only Hyderabad has been developed significantly and still, many are under developed and lack any major industries.
Though Telangana leaders don’t seem to have a problem with the package given to Seemandhra, they are determined to get one such package for Telangana also.
