Ponguru Narayana, the owner of Narayana Educational Institutions used to be in TDP’s back office before 2014. After coming to power, he was given the crucial MA&UD ministry via the MLC route and was made the in-charge of Amaravati construction.
As the Minister, Narayana constructed 20,000 TIDCO houses in Nellore and also completed 90% of underground drainage and drinking water for every household worth 1,500 Crore Rupees.
In 2019, he faced his first election from Nellore Urban and lost by a close margin due to Jagan’s wave.
After coming to power, Jagan started targeting Narayana’s business as well as Amaravati’s front. The target is to inflict damage to Chandrababu as Jagan believes Narayana is a financer for TDP as well as a crucial back office asset.
Narayana also became silent after the defeat and is fighting the Government harassment legally.
There were even rumors that Narayana will defect to the BJP to save his skin but nothing of that sort happened.
Now, Narayana is coming back to electoral politics. The other day, at an internal meeting, Chandrababu Naidu confirmed that Narayana will be the TDP candidate from Nellore Urban.
Narayana also attended the meeting in Hyderabad along with other important leaders of Nellore.
