Both the States have abundant spread of IT companies which they now fear will lose to Andhra Pradesh as the tax incentives tempt most companies.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had written twice to the Prime Minister in the last three months to reconsider the promise made to Andhra Pradesh. The not so tech savvy Chief Minister is on a high speed over the last one week clearing all the pending projects.

On the other side, Telangana government is pressing for a similar Special Status citing that the new state needs support of the center after several years of neglect. Experts say Telangana government is fully aware that their demand will not be fulfilled but are bring the demand again and again so as to make sure that Center reconsider the idea of imparting Special Status to their neighbouring state.
