National Parties take U turn on Telangana

The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting took place a short while ago to discuss about the last Parliament sessions for the current government. Various parties voiced different opinions about the Telangana Bill. Samajwadi Party clearly said they will not be supporting the bill and Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress made it clear that this sessions should only be confined to Vote on Account Budget.

On the other side, BJP also made some vague comments regarding the issue. Sushma Swaraj, the opposition leader in Lok Sabha said that the proceedings of the house may be stalled. She blamed Congress for creating confusion in Andhra Pradesh with their improper policies. “Congress failed to control its own Chief Minister (in AP). And now they are tabling the rejected bill in Parliament”. However Sushma promised that BJP will help the bill to pass if Congress manages the house well”.
