India Capital New Delhi earns one more global shame!According to a poll conducted by Thomson Reuters Foundation, the corporate charity of news and information provider Thomson Reuters, in collaboration with UK-based polling company YouGov, New Delhi is the fourth most dangerous public transport systems in the world when it comes to women’s safety.

They have assessed the transport systems of 15 of the world’s largest capitals, as defined by the United Nations to arrive at this conclusion. New Delhi is only safer than Bogota (Colombia), Mexico City and Lima (Peru) where the things are much worse. Our National Capital has the most dangerous public transport systems than any other cities in Asia.

New York, followed by Tokyo and Beijing are said to be the best cities for a woman to take public transport. The Nirbhaya gang rape in Delhi way back in 2012 seem have an impact on this poll. The findings say women in the national capital continue to feel unsafe, and constantly under the risk of being verbally harassed by men or groped in public transport.
