Narendra Modi Wave Unwithered - BJP Towards the Magic Figure in KarnatakaThe Much-Awaited and Much-Talked About Karnataka Assembly Elections seems to be going the BJP way. Early Trends indicate that the Saffron Party is comfortably inching towards the halfway mark in Assembly of 224 seats (Election happened only in 222 seats).

The anti-incumbency on the Congress government seems to be higher than what is expected since the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah himself is struggling. He is confirmed to be losing from Chamundeswari and is struggling in another seat, Badami ahead by a slender margin.

Congress’ defeat was also helped by the miraculous Performance of JDS which is leading in around 40 seats. The party is leading in some of the seats which it does not have any presence which indicates the tactic understanding with BJP behind the doors.

If the trends hold good, Karnataka will be continuing its tradition over the last 25 years of changing the government every five years. That will also mean that Congress has lost its only prominent State in the country and 2019 seems to be an uphill task from here.
