Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi the other day in Delhi. This is the third appointment to KCR by the Prime Minister in the last two months. In addition to that, his son, Minister KTR also got an appointment recently which makes it four.
Our readers are very well aware of how Modi praised the Telangana CM in the Parliament that he showed utmost maturity and trod the path of development after an initial tussle with AP CM Chandrababu. All this give rise to speculations if TRS and BJP are going in for an alliance to compensate the loss of losing a partner in Telugu Desam.
Some English Media have written that Modi offered a Pre-Poll alliance to KCR the other day. After failing to convince the Center for Muslim Reservations, an alliance with BJP can prove to be fatal for TRS with the Muslim Electorate. Having known the volatile nature of KCR’s Politics, Modi will not trust him for a Post-Poll alliance.
An alliance with BJP will also dent KCR’s credibility in the National Politics as he was talking about the Federal Front until a couple of months saying that he will do politics equidistant of BJP and Congress. But at the same time, an alliance with BJP which has more chances of coming to Power in 2019 will be too tempting for KCR.
