Namesake Launch of Hyderabad Metro by Narendra ModiDemonetization seems to be still haunting Andhra Pradesh as the revenue from the stamps and registration department is yet to register any significant growth after nearly 10 months of the Notes Ban. The imposition of GST and restrictions on cash holdings have also dented the registrations.

Forget about improvement, the department is struggling to meet the set targets. The income from Real Estate is the backbone of any state economy. Similar is the situation in the other states as well. But the impact is very high in Andhra Pradesh which is cash-strapped.

From April 1st to September 13th, the state had amassed 20,931.99 Crore income but the expenditure is a mammoth 37,894.3 Crores. The state had already gone for about 16000 Crore loans in these five months which reveals the grave situation.
