Narendra Modi Andhra Pradesh BJPIf the rumors are to be believed, Somu Veerraju’s stint as AP BJP President is going to be short-lived. Somu has become the President only a year ago and the party high command is already not satisfied with his performance. Apparently, there were reports that Somu is not doing enough for strengthening the party and is trying to go soft on the ruling party.

The fact that the BJP candidate lost the deposit even with the support of Janasena did not go well with the party. What is more interesting is that former president Kanna Lakshminarayana may be brought back in Somu’s place. Kanna tried to go aggressive on the Jagan government after the elections but YSR Congress has branded him as Pro-Chandrababu.

A section in BJP also reinforced the view prompting his change. Now, BJP high command seems like feeling Kanna is a better option. In case the party wants to give the chance to someone from Rayalaseema, former minister Aadi Narayana Reddy who defected from TDP may be chosen.

Somu Veerraju who is over 30 years old in BJP always used to claim that becoming the party president is his dream and it looks like his dream is short-lived.
