Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his maiden visit to Andhra Pradesh after TDP pulled out of NDA Alliance invoked NTR Sentiment against Chandrababu Naidu. Modi went on to say that NTR floated TDP Party to eliminate Congress but Chandrababu Naidu is sitting in the lap of the same Congress just to stop Modi.
The Prime Minister even mentioned about Backstabbing Incident of NTR (which he conveniently forgot in 2014 Elections) and said TDP’s alliance with BJP will ensure that NTR will be turning his grave. Modi also made the routine political comments like Chandrababu misusing money, not giving accounts, ignoring development, fearing defeat etc.
Modi who once tapped the shoulder of Nara Lokesh during his previous visit when TDP and BJP are good terms targeted Chandrababu saying that he is doing all that for his son. Modi alleged scams in Amaravati and Polavaram Projects in which Naidu created wealth for his own family. “He fears me because I am the watchman for people’s money,” Modi said.
Prime Minister disappointed BJP leaders also who hoped that Modi will explain the help of the Central Government to Andhra Pradesh and even announce something new and substantial to the State.He did not explain why Special Status was not given to the State and only read of the list of educational institutions and defended the Special Package.
