Prime Minister Narendra Modi has this talent of filling the stomachs with mere words. Probably, that’s what he did a little while ago. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and TDP MPs met the Prime Minister a little while ago in Delhi for inviting the latter to Krishna Pushkaralu later this month.
Chandrababu Naidu handed over 12 point letter to Narendra Modi outlining all the problems plaguing the state post the bifurcation. Naidu explained to the Prime Minister how Special Status issue is becoming a sentiment in the state and also clarified people will not get satisfied with anything except the Special Status now.
He also warned Modi that this can become a huge advantage for the opposition and underlined the need of immediately addressing the issue. It is said that Modi promised a quick resolution and even went on to say ‘Your Problem is My Problem’. We will have to see if that is a blank promise or if Modi is really sincere in addressing the issue this time.
On the other side, KVP Ramachandra Rao’s Private Member Bill will come for discussion in Rajya Sabha later in the afternoon. Center is looking to avoid the voting citing the bill as a Money Bill which can not be taken up in the Upper House. TDP already announced that it will support the bill in voting even though it do not trust the commitment of Congress to the cause. Congress issued a whip to all its members to be present in the house.
