In an interesting twist in the current political climate, a doppelganger of PM Modi has appeared in the mainstream media and has become an instant hit. The Modi look-alike is Vikas Mahante who hails from Mumbai and bears an uncanny resemblance to the political leader.
Interestingly, Mahante is also a believer of Modi and has worked extensively as part of Modi’s Lok Sabha campaign of 2014. He has also met the PM who was surprised to see the similarities and was moved to laughter. As for his experience with the whole doppelganger thing, Mahante says that although it is fun at times, it is not a great thing to carry another person’s identity all the time.
As of now, Manhante is working of a semi fictional film based on the rural development schemes of PM Modi and the film is titled Modi ka Gaon. Although the premise of the film looks promising, it has run into trouble with the censor board which has asked for an NOC from the PM’s Office.
