Narendra-Modi-Do-Not-Care-Pawan-Kalyan-LetterWe all know that Janasena President Pawan Kalyan has raked up the issue of Disinvestment in Dredging Corporation of India and even wrote to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take back the decision. But then, the Central Government seems to be not interested in going back.

When Andhra MPs have taken it to the notice of the government they were told that it was the prerogative of the government to take decisions to run which public sector enterprise depending on ground realities and cannot be reconsidered.

When they pointed out that DCI had been earning profits since its inception in 1976, he said “look at its balance sheet. The profit is declining from 2015-16.” Interestingly, the majority of arrears of DCI are from the Government which is the reason for declining profits.
