KCR Disappointed Assets Division, Narendra Modi Disappointed KCR Assets Bifurcation, KCR Disappointed Andhra Assets DivisionTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao came all the way from calling Modi a fascist to calling the Prime Minister, country’s most lovable leader. Bringing the Prime Minister to Telangana, KCR asked Narendra Modi nothing but his love for the newest state of the country which is a kind of political sensation.

But the love is not on expected lines of the Chief Minister. KCR reportedly requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Rajnath Singh to come to the rescue of the Telangana government by filing an affidavit in support of Telangana government in the apex court in the case of division of assets and liabilities of Schedule X institutions with AP.

But the Center refused to help Telangana and then the state filed three review petitions over the last one year, all three were struck down by the apex court. Left with no option, Telangana has decided to share the assets. Telangana is asking for geographical basis of division while the Apex Court insisted on Population Ratio.

36,835 Crore assets of these institutions if divided, Andhra Pradesh will get 21,364 Crore while Telangana will get 15,471 Crore in population ratio. Out of the 36835 Crore, buildings and lands worth 28,046 Crore are in Telangana, more precisely in Hyderabad. The remaining 3650 Crore worth assets are in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh will have to lose about 14000 Crore if Telangana’s argument of division on geographical basis stands.
