Telangana Assembly is likely to go for elections in November or even before. KCR’s Meetings with PM Narendra Modi worked out in that direction. Everyone from Governor to Election Commission is working hard to ensure that the elections happen as per the plan. Interestingly, EC is working hard on Telangana than the other Poll States.
It is pretty much clear that BJP is co-operating with KCR hoping that TRS will come handy during the Parliament Elections. TDP (TS) and BJP are two unprepared parties in the state for an early election. TDP (TS) is hoping to sail through with the alliance with Congress.
But BJP is confirmed to lose the election and may not even win the seats it held in 2014. If TRS wins this election hands down, it will create a very favourable atmosphere for the Pink Party to win Parliament Elections as well. If TRS win 16 out of the 17 seats, BJP’s contribution will also be significant.
With no guarantee that TRS will co-operate with BJP in 2019 on the lines of Secularism, BJP is helping KCR for no reason. There are reports that Narendra Modi is not keen on campaigning much in the state again to help TRS win the majority of seats. BJP State Leaders are themselves wondering why their high command is so desperate.
