The Reports of Narendra Modi and K Chandrasekhar Rao coming to an agreement to ensure Snap Polls to Telangana is likely to make big dent to BJP’s Commitment to One Country and One Poll. The Saffron Party has been advocating it saying that it will minimize election expenses and as well as give time for the governments to focus on work without getting distracted due to elections every now and then.
But thanks to the secret agreement, Telangana will face two major elections in the span of just Six months. KCR so far failed to explain how this advancing of elections is in the interest of the state. BJP will get the name it will be ready to sacrifice its Policies Just for the Sake of Political Advantage. It will also be accused of influencing the Election Commission.
But then, all those are too little before the support of a possible majority MP seats out of the total 17 in Telangana in the wake of BJP falling short of the majority in the upcoming General Elections. Modi is already short of Partners in Andhra Pradesh (at least open partners) and does not want to leave out Telangana as well.
On the other side, buzz is that KCR may dissolve the Assembly on September 6th. The government is already making the last minute transfers and is also gearing up to make some key announcements to appease various sections of the people. If everything goes as per the plan, Telangana will go for elections along with Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh in November.
