Nara Lokesh Yuva Galam 1000 kilometersFormer Minister Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam Padayatra has completed 1000 Kilometers of the landmark in the Adoni constituency. Out of his 4000 Kilometers Padayatra in 400 days target, Lokesh has completed a quarter of it.

The Padayatra started with a lot of hurdles and insults. The entire government machinery tried all sorts of things to stop the Padyatra in the name of G.O. No.1 and other rules.

We have seen the Police confiscating the vehicles, mikes, and stools so that Lokesh can not address the people.

Numerous cases were filed but the young leader did not step back. Until now, there were 25 cases filed on the Padayatra and three of them were on Lokesh.

Before the Padayatra, there were a lot of insults by the YSR Congress leaders. They mocked him saying he can not talk and can not win an election. But he collected all the stones thrown at him and built a fort.

The 1000 Kilometers journey happened with lots of perseverance and resolve. Lokesh did not shy away from talking to the people. He spoke so much that he established a connection with the public and it also dispelled the propaganda of the Opposition about Lokesh’s communication skills.

Innovative programs like Selfie with Lokesh, Q&A sessions, Selfie Challenge about Government failures, etc have worked very well and made Lokesh and the Padayatra more popular with the masses.

The public response to the Padayatra also startled the Government.

Every morning around 1500 people are coming to the camp areas to take Selfies with Lokesh. He is getting a superb welcome wherever he goes. The Padayatra in Rayalaseema showed an impact in the MLC elections as well.

TDP has won the East and West Rayalaseema Graduates MLC seats. YSR Congress had to sweat out to win the Rayalaseema Teachers MLC constituency even though TDP is not in the fray.

Everyone is surprised when Lokesh chose to start his Padayatra from Rayalaseema but it looks like Lokesh has a plan.

In the seventy-seven days of Padayatra, there were bare minimum breaks, and that too only compulsive breaks due to Tarakaratna’s demise and the MLC Election code. In contrast, Jagan used to take breaks for his Padayatra every Friday in the name of Court appearances.

After facing the most malicious negative campaign, Lokesh silenced all his critics and proved all those doubting him wrong in just 77 days. He has emerged as a leader who has great potential in Andhra Pradesh politics.

The common opinion is that Chandrababu, despite being a backbone and commander in chief of TDP, was never an aggressive man. He was more focused on administration than building a mass image. As a result, TDP lacked a mass leader and crowd puller all the while.

But now, Lokesh appears to have fulfilled the void as he has now emerged as a mass leader.

Naidu’s speeches and approach weren’t always in sync with the younger section. Now, Lokesh has started his Yatra with the title itself aimed at the youth – Yuva Galam. Fittingly, he is more in tune with the younger sections now and this will only help him gain the crowd pulling capabilities.

Also, he is refreshingly fierce while calling out the Jagan government over its failures. He is actively indulging in verbal brawls with YCP.

After the 2019 election, there was a talk amongst those who knew Lokesh personally that he is a changed man and is much more aggressive now. The world is now getting to see the aggressive side of Lokesh and TDP couldn’t have been more happier about the same as they believe they have a mass leader in the making in Lokesh now.

We will have to see where he will stop when the Padayatra finishes the 4000 Kilometers target.
