Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj has shown a new way to Indian Politicians by solving the problems of the people through her Twitter. New Age Political leaders like KTR and Nara Lokesh are following her. Lokesh went a step ahead and turned Twitter into Darbar.
Nara Lokesh‘s Twitter account is being flooded with queries about various problems. Lokesh had introduced a new system which will channelize the issues and will be forwarded to the concerned department. Lokesh had started a separate cell to monitor them till they are solved.
The IT Minister of Andhra Pradesh even started separate hashtags to easily track these queries. Separate hashtags are created to differentiate various problems. The entire mechanism indicates that Lokesh has turned his Twitter account into a Darbar for the people.
The grievance addressing system started recently is getting a good response from the people. M9News.Com has talked to some of those complainants and all of them say they were contacted by the concerned departments and the work is on. It will be really great if this exercise goes on.
I'm overwhelmed with citizens reporting civic issues/grievances to me through social media. Request you to follow this format. (1/2)
