TDP Chief Secretary, Nara Lokesh is all set to enter Chandrababu Naidu‘s Cabinet. TDP is likely to nominate him as an MLC. The Polit Bureau meeting in Chandrababu Naidu’s residence a little while ago unanimously asked the TDP Supremo to nominate him to the council in MLAs Quota.
MLAs Quota will mean that it will be a cakewalk for Lokesh to become MLC and from there, Cabinet berth may be just a formality. That also mean that Lokesh will be taking an easy route to begin his political journey. This might no do good to his political prospects in the long term.
He should have at least contested the election and enter council with the public mandate. Once in Naidu’s team, every movement of Lokesh will be under the scanner and his future prospects will depend on how he performance in the next two years.
