Nara Lokesh Says Chandrababu Is in No HurryAndhra Pradesh IT Minister, Nara Lokesh refuted the rumors of Possible Early Elections to the state and said that the Chief Minister did not say so. “Why will any state go for elections a year early?,” Lokesh questioned the media.

“The Chief Minister only said the Party Leaders should be ready whenever the elections come,” he added. Lokesh also opined that the simultaneous elections for the Parliament and State Assemblies may not be possible at least for 2019.

So, this puts the rumours of possible Early Elections to rest for now. As per the schedule, Andhra Pradesh will have its Assembly elections in May 2019. Unless Center or Telangana decides to go for early polls, elections for the Parliament and the Telugu States will happen at the same time.
