Reports are emerging that TDP(TS) is keen on fielding a member of Nandamuri family in Kukatpally seat. The party has approached Nandamuri Kalyan Ram to contest but he did not show any interest and so the party is pursuing it with Nandamuri Harikrishna’s Daughter, Suhasini to contest from there.
Suhasini is married to Former MP Chundru Srihari’s son, Srikanth and so the family is not alien to politics. But the family is yet to respond to this proposal. TDP(TS) has put this seat in pending. There are too many aspirants for this seat in TDP but a candidature from Nandamuri family may not get much opposition.
Suhasini will be the only family member of Nandamuri after NT Ramarao to contest from Telangana. NTR previously lost from Telangana as well. TDP so far has announced candidates for Eight Seats and may get Six more seats as the part of the alliance. Kukatpally is one of the safest seats for TDP in Telangana despite getting weakened after the bifurcation.
