Balayya Shows Why He Can Not Be Taken Granted As A PoliticianHindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s strategy has hampered the ploy of the YSR Congress in ensuring maximum unanimous results. Balayya has put a check on the efforts made by the party MLC Mohammad Iqbal for maximum unanimous wards in Hindupur municipality.

There are several attempts to lure and intimidate the candidates of TDP, but not even a single candidate from TDP withdrew as Balayya assured them all support. Former MLA Vishweswarareddy of Uravakonda, YSR Congress observer for the municipality along with the MLC failed miserably at the end.

In all 38 wards of the municipality, TDP candidates are in the fray. Balayya did not concentrate on the Panchayat elections as a result, YSR Congress made inroads. So, Balayya has become alert this time. Six days before the withdrawal of nominations, his representatives Srinivasa Rao and Surendranath stayed in Hindupur and Balayya is in touch on the phone from time to time with local TDP chiefs and election observers to ensure that no candidate withdraws.

On the last day of withdrawal of nominations, care was taken to send three TDP leaders along with each candidate while handing over the B-forms to the Returning Officer. Balayya is also campaigning aggressively for the party candidates. If TDP manages to win the municipality, Balayya will make a strong statement about why he is a politician who can not be taken granted.
