Andhra Pradesh State government is ambitiously working on creating a land bank of 10 Lakh Acres to woo industrialists with the best of industrial infrastructure including power, water and fibre optic connectivity for the rapid industrialization of the truncated state.
Instead of going for land acquisition, government is keen on utilizing the government lands to make up this land bank. Extensive exercise is going on identifying those lands and linking them with Goople Maps to protect them from encroachments in future.
The major onus will be on Prakasam, Nellore, Chittor, Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts where there are several barren lands. The government wants to help the people there by spurring industrial growth in this region which would in turn provide numerous employment opportunities.
