GST Bill, KCR Signs GST Bill, Chandrababu Naidu Signs GST Bill, KCR Approves GST Bill File, Chandrababu Naidu Approves GST Bill File Parliament has successfully passed Goods and Services Tax (GST) much to the relief of the Central government. The Bill since is a constitutional amendment, have to be passed by at least half of the states in the country which means at least 15 states in the country have to pass the Bill.

Central government is planning to bring the GST into effect from April 1st, 2017. So, the bill is being sent to BJP and its allies ruled states. We are told that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Ministers have assured to pass the bill and help Modi government to ensure the bill is ready in time.

Both the state assemblies are set to pass the Amendment bill in the third week of September during their respective short sessions. Both State Assemblies and Legislative Councils will meet any day after the Ganesh Immersion which concludes on September 16, to meet for five days and pass this amendment.
