Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had finalized the Pay Revision guidelines for the Government employees who have been demanding it for a long time. The last pay revision has been done in 2015 during Chandrababu Naidu’s rule.
Back then, Chandrababu Naidu announced 43% fitment to the employees on par with the cash-rich Telangana Government. But then, Jagan Mohan Reddy only announced 23.29% fitment but increased the retirement age from 60 to 62 years. Government employees have supported YSRCP big time in the 2019 elections.
The Postal Ballot votes have gone in favor of YSR Congress candidates in most constituencies. This has come as a shock to them. They are now repenting for supporting Jagan. The Retirement age increase will have another setback. That implies there would be fewer vacancies for government jobs every year for youth.
“Only for employees salaries, there is no money with the Government. Salaries have stopped coming on time for a long time. And now, this meager pay revision. We are repenting every bit for having supported Jagan over Chandrababu Naidu in the 2019 elections,” Employees associations are fuming.
