Maoist Leader Sriramulu Srinivas alias Sudharshan was arrested by Gujarat Police in Hyderabad and was taken to their custody in Gujarat. Sudharshan is one of the prime accused in the then Home Minister Alimineti Madhava Reddy assassination and attack on Chandrababu Naidu in Alipiri.
Recently, CM Chandrababu Naidu alleged that he suspects the hands of former Chief Minister Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Red Sanders Smuggler, Gangireddy in his Alipiri Attack. The mystery may be solved with this arrest.
Chandrababu Naidu had a miraculous escape with minor injuries while his convoy was attacked by Maoists by planting a landmine at Alipiri when Naidu was on his way to Tirumala to present Pattu vasthrams as a part of the then Brahmotsvam festival at Tirumala on October 1st, 2003. Since then, he is on Z-Category Security.
