Security is beefed up in Kirlampudi, the village of Mudhragadda Padmanabham who is leading the Kapu reservations agitation. As many as 50 cases were registered on him and his followers for damaging public property.
Government is treading carefully on his arrest as it may instigate the community and force protestors to come on roads. However the state government is under pressure to arrest him as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of India, Pranab Mukherjee are coming to the state for International Fleet Review.
The event will happen in Vishakapatnam which is the neighbouring district to East Godavari. Central agencies want preventive arrest of Mudhragadda so that the high profile event goes smooth.
