Speaking at a Press conference, Mudhragadda said he took this decision to avoid any untoward incidents in the agitation.

He alleged that the ruling party provoked violence in to the agitation. He also refuted rumours about affiliating with any party. The former Kakinada MP said that he will decide on the future course of action in next few days.

Mudhragadda is under fire from his own community people as they allege that he and his agitation brought disgrace to Kapu community after resorting to violence. Political experts say this is the reason why he called off the road and rail blockades the other day and now this decision of backtracking the fast unto death decision.
