Negligence of Hyderabad Metro authorities has claimed the life of a 26-year-old woman. The metro ceiling fell on her, the injuries of which led to her death. 26-yr-old Monica succumbed when a small plaster piece fell off from a surface wall of the Ameerpet Metro Rail Station.
Even as a Good Samaritan Auto Driver rushed her to the nearest hospital, it is of no use. This came as a shocker because the construction is not even two years old and has reputed concessionaire, L&T to its name. Hours after the freak accident is reported, it is said that there are defects in the other Metro Stations as well.
NTV News Channel has claimed that Rasoolpura Metro Rail Station is also having the same problem. The Plaster pieces are falling off the roof. This is really shocking and dangerous to the Public using the Transport system. There are demands that Criminal Cases could be registered on Hyderabad Metro and L&T for this.
Sources say that L&T officials are in discussions with the family members of Monica. They are reportedly offering 10 Lakhs as Compensation. People Groups are demanding compensation of 50 Lakhs for her.
