The man who took the initiative to file corruption charges against one of the top politicians Jayalalitha 18 years ago when he was the president of Janata party and later merged into BJP, seems to be going against the wishes of Prime Minister Mr.Narender Singh Modi. Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, Modi’s meeting with superstar Rajnikanth gained a lot of importance and there had been many speculations on Rajni’s induction into BJP.
But no official confirmation came from either BJP sources or from the star’s side. It was given a colour of just a courtesy meet then. Now in the wake of the conviction and arrest of AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha in inappropriate assets case, when Subramaniam Swamy was asked about Rajnikanth’s induction into BJP, his answer perplexed many.
