Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Visakhapatnam on July 4. BJP sources said Narendra Modi is coming to Bhimavaram on July 4 to attend the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of freedom fighter Alluri Sitaramaraju.
The Prime Minister will address a public meeting in Visakhapatnam at 4 pm on the same day.
Revolutionary Alluri Sitaramaraju was a warrior who fought tirelessly against the Britishers in the agency area of Uttarandhra and breathed his last there only.
This is the first visit of the Prime Minister to the Port City after the Union Government decided to privatize the Vishaka Steel Plant.
Despite the strong protests of the Steel Plant workers and the demands of the citizens, the government had decided to go ahead with the privatization.
The question is if the Prime Minister will speak about privatization.
Interestingly, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), better known as Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has registered a record turnover and posted operational profits the last financial year.
Despite that, the center has announced the commitment to privatizing the steel plant.
