BMW-7-Series-is-new-Narendr

Narendra Modi was a fan boy of Mahindra Scorpio. He used to use the SUV during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister and he even rode in a convoy of the SUVs to his swearing-in ceremony. However Modi had to forego his favourite car due to the security reasons. He is now advised a convoy of BMW 7 Series 760Li Security Edition— the most secured vehicle in the country. It is said that these cars can withstand street crime, organised crime even with AK-47 and attacks with explosive devices and armour-piercing weapons.

On the other side, Mahindra & Mahindra is disappointed with Mod’s change of cars and had written to the Prime Minister, requesting to use the Scorpio as his official car. They say it will be a matter of great pride and honour for Indians if the Prime Minister uses a vehicle designed, developed and built in India. Earlier Prime Ministers of India used to have Ambassador cars for their rides but they were replaced by BMWs in 2003 by the Vajpayee government.
