Telangana CMO in its communication to media went on to say that Modi himself told KCR that he selected a Dalit as NDA’s Presidential Candidate on the latter’s advice. Media carried it extensively and sources tell us that intelligence reports have gone to the Prime Minister’s Office about the same.
Modi and Shah decided to counter this propaganda and ensured that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao will be shown his place. Accordingly, it was decided that Kovind’s Nomination Papers will be signed by Modi, Chandrababu, Amit Shah and Prakash Singh Badal.
BJP opines that the propaganda of KCR playing a major role in the selection of the candidate will be busted with that. KCR had planned to go for Kovind‘s Nomination and had scheduled a Delhi tour. In case the invitation is not received from NDA, he will be staying back in Delhi to have an eye operation.
TRS was initially not in favour of supporting BJP at the center and at one stage, KCR even called the Prime Minister names but later retreated after seeing the Modi wave across the country. It went to the extent of KCR calling the Prime Minister as the most loved leader of the country.
