Narendra Modi is all set to sail on the India’s largest warship and air craft carrier, INS Vikramaditya. The Prime Minister would be embark the warship by helicopter today. He will witness a host of exercises by the frontline warships and aircraft of the Navy including MiG 29K, Sea Harriers, P 8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft, TU 142M and IL-38SD maritime surveillance planes along with Kamov and Sea King helicopters.

Narendra Modi will also interact with the crew onboard and address officers and sailors of the Navy. The purpose of his visit is to instill confidence in the naval base and also get an idea of the naval protection of the country. It is said that he will be also inaugurating Shore-based Test Facilty meant for practising carrier-based take-off and landing operations.
