The TDP has alleged that the mining mafia has been looting 80 constituencies in the state under the YSR Congress government and has decided to fight hard everywhere on this. The strategy committee meeting chaired by the party chief Chandrababu was held on Monday.
It has discussed the issues of illegal mining like bauxite in Visakhapatnam and gravel in the Kondapalli forest area, TDP leaders brought to the notice of Chandrababu that YSR Congress leaders in many parts of the state are looting mineral wealth and are filling their pockets.
By giving the silica mines in Nellore district to Shekhar Reddy and giving all the sand quarries in the state to his chosen companies, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is getting 1000s of Crores as his share, they alleged.
“The case against Devineni Uma and his arrest are to intimidate those who questioned this government,” Chandrababu told the party leaders.
