MIM-facing-heat-in-two-cons

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) has been speaking high of bagging 10 seats in Hyderabad in the coming elections and play a crucial role in first Telangana government. But the reality speaks different and the party is struggling to keep up the existing seven constituencies in its fold. The party is facing stiff opposition in two constituencies – Nampally and Yakatpura.

In Yakatpura, MIM’s long time rival, Majlis Bachao Tehrik (MBT) is heading for a revival. MBT candidate there Farhatullah Khan is posing a threat to 4 time MLA, Mumtaz Khan. And in Nampally, the party is facing severe threat from TDP’s Mohammed Feroz Khan who came second in 2009 contesting from PRP. While MIM got 34439 votes there PRP managed 27640 votes. Feroz Khan was working hard in Nampally since 2009 and is involved in various developmental works despite not being in power. MIM is using the communal card on his due to TDP-BJP alliance. Lets see if people in these constituency manage to come out MIM’s fold!
