The buzz around a possible by-election for Nalgonda Loksabha segment is growing stronger. Sources say that MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy will resign anytime in the next week. The By-election is planned to teach a lesson to both BJP and Congress.
KCR is keen on showing Narendra Modi that his wave will end at the outskirts of Telangana and he is the Sultan here. At the same time, he wants to prove a point that Congress will meet the same fate in Telangana as like in the other states whenever the elections come.
Nalgonda is the stronghold for Congress always due to the huge Reddy population here. TRS managed to win just one seat in the district (then) in 2014. So taking on Congress in its stronghold means that KCR is adamant to show his strength.
He believes that TRS should win with at least 50% Vote Share and that will crush the morale of the opposition parties ahead of 2019 elections. Also, this will indicate the mood of Reddy Community for 2019. It will be definitely an interesting election if it really happens.
