Mega EVMs to Be Used in Nizamabad?

Mega EVMs to Be Used in Nizamabad? As many as 185 candidates are in the fray in Nizamabad Parliament. Turmeric and red sorghum Farmers have filed nominations in big numbers protesting against KCR Government. The normal EVMs being used by the Election Commission has the maximum capacity of 64 candidates. So, Ballot Papers may be used in Nizamabad, they said.

This news has caught the attention of the nation and suddenly there is a discussion saying that those who do not trust EVMs should ensure there are more than 64 candidates competing in the election so that Ballot Paper elections can be conducted. Since this may set a precedent, ECI is planning to use M3 Type EVMs in Nizamabad.

These machines are in less number across the country but can take up to 384 candidates including NOTA. There are 1788 Polling Booths in Nizamabad and 28000 control and Ballot units are needed. ECI is planning to bring all of the available machines across the country in Nizamabad. The final decision will be taken in a day or two.
