NTV is the most-watched News Channel in Telugu. The Channel recently piped TV9 to take the place. In Andhra Pradesh, the channel is pro-YCP and is pro-TRS in Telangana.
The channel is giving extensive coverage to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.
And then, ED slapped a notice to the promoters of NTV including its owner Narendra Chowdary in the case of Jubilee Co-operative House Building Society Limited case.
Summons were sent to furnish all the transactions pertaining to the society for the last ten years. Narendra Chowdary was the President of this society for many years and there were allegations of massive irregularities.
The other day, we have seen NTV giving live coverage of Operation Akarsha aimed at cornering the BJP ahead of the Manugode by-election.
It looks like NTV had decided to position itself completely opposite to BJP in Telangana after the ED notices. It has to be seen how BJP will fight with NTV, the most-watched News Channel ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections.
TV9 which was pro-TRS earlier is slowly drifting towards BJP due to differences between KCR and its promotors. Probably, BJP is entering into a rift with NTV hoping for TV9’s support.
