In the recent 2014 elections, Telangana CM KCR won from Medak Parliamentary seat and Jagityal Assembly seat. Since he has sworn in as the CM of the State, KCR had to leave the Parliamentary seat and the necessity for a by-election has arisen. He actually won with a record difference of 3.97 lakh votes. In undivided Andhra Pradesh, it was the highest margin with which any leader might have won till date. Even our Ex-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had contested from Medak and won with a record margin then.

Coming to the present scenario, TRS has fielded a businessman K.Prabhakar Reddy, a close aid of KCR since long. While Congress is betting on Sunita Lakshma Reddy, who had been the Minister for Women and Child Welfare, BJP & TDP have mutually fielded Jagga Reddy, who was branded as Samaikyandhra Loyalist during the T-Movement.

As the T sentiment is still fresh in the minds of people, TRS in all probability will have a smooth sailing and victory seems to be only a couple of days away as the election is scheduled to take place on 13th September. Congress is still like a dying snake and it would be asking for too much to hope for atleast a decent count of votes.

BJP’s Jagga Reddy is the only one who might give some resistance. But according to the Extremists of Telangana sentiment, even if Jagga Reddy wins his deposit, it is kind of defeat to TRS’ government and 100 days of KCR’s reign. Just two days to go for the elections. Telugu people are seeing towards Medak, eager to know the verdict of the Telangana movement.
