Avanigadda MLA Mandali Buddha Prasad is all set to become first deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly. He has filed his nomination a short while ago and in all probability he will be elected unopposed. The election for Deputy Speaker will take place on 23rd of this month. Mandali who was in Congress previously just joined Telugu Desam Party just before the election. Chandra Babu overruled the names of several TDP seniors to give Mandali the position.
Mandali after elected will be the second ex-congress leader after Ghanta Srinivasa Rao who got good post in TDP government. Anantapur MLA and TDP Polit bureau member Kalava Srinivasulu will be the Chief WHIP of Andhra Pradesh government. Yamini Bala, Chintamaneni Prabhakar, Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy and Kuna Ravi Kumar will be the other WHIPs.
