Former MLA and Congress Vijayawada City President, Malladi Vishnu reportedly amassed 600 Crore illegal wealth. SIT which is investigating the spurious liquor case in Vishnu’s bar reportedly arrived at this conclusion.
Vishnu was arrested in this case and is out on bail. SIT collected the details of Vishnu’s assets from the sub-registrar offices in Krishna and Guntur districts. He owns 28 acres of land in the Capital area of AP.
SIT may recommend Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation on this case. If that happens, it will be more trouble for the already struggling Congress party in the state. Malladi Vishnu is a close aide of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and had amassed this wealth illegally back then.
