APSRTC_BifurcationIts been about seven months, Andhra Pradesh state is divided, but the Road Transport Corporation is yet to be divided between both the states. The center is yet to finalize the guidelines for diving the assets, liabilities of the world’s largest fleet of buses.

The executive directors’ committee involving both the state officials will submit its report to the Sheila Bhide committee, which will then submit its report to the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on how to divide the corporation, before it is sent to the Union government. The division will take place when both the states and the center agrees up on a common plan.

The bifurcation is expected to be completed in the next one month. Even though RTC is not divided, both the states are operating and maintaining different accounts since the state division.
