Two persons from Uttar Pradesh were arrested after they are found to have hacked Telangana government’s Mee-Seva and siphoned over 13 Lakhs. They reportedly accessed some confidential information from the government website.
Then transferred the funds in to a newly opened current bank account in the name of ‘Sai Enterprises’. Some how the accused got a sniff of police reaching them. one of the accused trembled with fear and deposited back 13.35 Lakh in to the government attack.
Police had seized Rs 35,000 in cash and two mobile phones from them. Hunt is on to apprehend some other accused in relation to the same case. This is the first major breakthrough of a government website hacking case in Telangana.
