Lok-Satta-faces-challenge-o

Jaya Prakash Narayan’s Lok Satta managed to get 1.8% votes in the last election and managed one Assembly seat. The party has faced dire challenges this five years and could not do much to impress people. Earlier JP tried for an alliance with Aam Admi Party but failed. Later he tried to get in to the Grand Alliance with TDP and BJP so that the party can get going with a handful of seats.

Lok Satta bargained for few seats in and around Hyderabad where the educated and settlers class is high. But as TDP and BJP are also betting on the same seats, they refused to accommodate Lok Satta and finally the whistle party with no options open is contesting alone this election. JP himself will be contesting from Malkajgiri MP seat. The party now faces a ‘do or die’ situation. It has to make a mark with the results lest it will find extremely tough to remain significant in political sphere of the state.
