Liquor Sales in the 31 districts of Telangana has fetched a whopping 300 Crore on Saturday and Sunday coinciding with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti’ Pragathi Nivedana Sabha. This is said to be more than double the sales on normal days.
TRS leaders have spent huge on booze for bringing crowds to the meeting from all the constituencies. TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao set a very difficult target of congregating 25 Lakh people to make it the biggest Public meeting in the history of Indian Politics.
But then, the meeting ended up as a big failure and even by liberal estimates, the attendance would be certainly less than five Crore. Several videos of crowds enjoying booze in the buses and other vehicles have surfaced on the social media shaming the Pink Party.
The video coinciding with the Liquor Sales will tell us the story of what happened. Even then distributing booze and biryani along with money is quite common for the Political Meetings, TRS showcased itself as averse to all that saying that people will come voluntarily and at the end, that backfired.
