AP Liquor, AP Liquor Production Increase, AP Liquor Distilleries Production Increase, AP Government Liquor Production Increase, AP Liquor Import Production IncreaseIt is known that Liquor sales constitute the major share of income in any state. But both the Telugu states face a peculiar problem. Andhra Pradesh is facing the shortage of liquor due to lack on enough distilleries while Telangana’s liquor consumption is way more than the distilleries present here and many are on the verge of closing down.

In Andhra Pradesh, the production capacity of distilleries is less and consumption of liquor is more. But in Telangana, the production capacity of distilleries is more and consumption is less. AP government had started taking steps to address the issue. The state government has allowed 9 more new distilleries along with the existing 12.

Currently, the state is depending on the imports from Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Since importing liquor from other states will be costlier due to the taxes, supply in AP is diminishing and there by there is a shortage. And on the other side, since the demand is cut down, distilleries in Telangana are running into losses and are on the verge of closing down. These new distilleries are planned to meet the demand of the next five years.
